Terence Rooney
Terence Rooney is an Executive Director at AQ Technology Partners, where he focuses on M&A, growth equity, and strategic advisory for leading software companies.
With over 15 years of investment banking and advisory experience, Terence has successfully closed dozens of transactions representing billions of dollars in aggregate value across software infrastructure, AI-enablement, vertical software, and digital advertising technology.
Prior to joining AQ, Terence was a Director in the Software M&A Group at Deutsche Bank Securities. During his tenure at Deutsche Bank and previously at KeyBanc Capital Markets, he led the execution of numerous high-profile mandates for a diverse range of software companies and their stakeholders.
Terence brings a unique perspective to the firm, having sat on both sides of the table as an advisor and an operator. He previously held corporate development roles at two venture-backed software startups that both realized successful exits, experiences that provided him with a first-hand understanding of strategic positioning and growth from within an organization.
He is also an entrepreneur, having co-founded Kopeh Coffee, a consumer products company with distribution across the East Coast.
Terence holds a B.A. in Economics from Swarthmore College.
